If possible would you consider adding any/all of the following features to syslog host fields in diag_logs_settings.php
- ability to enter a host name (i.e. mainlogserver.example.com)
- ability to specify a port (i.e. mainlogserver.example.com:17128)
- ability to specify protocol for transport: TCP, UDP, TLS (i.e. a drop down to the right of the host name field. TLS could be configured in the System > Cert Manager menu)

The first two have been implemented in 2.1, the third is not possible in our syslog daemon. That would require something else (stunnel, vpn) that can be added manually.
