<ul></ul><p>Found the problem. The package repo does a lookup for <a class="external" href="http://www.pfsense.org">www.pfsense.org</a> and if it fails the package pull completely bails instead of trying to get to the configured repo. Setting a static entry in the DNS forwarder for <a class="external" href="http://www.pfsense.org">www.pfsense.org</a> -> 127.0.0.1 solves this issue.</p>
