Description
We should consider doing something with the ALIX reset button. The code is in git. Exactly what is the question. Some want it as a reset to defaults button, but that comes with risks of things getting wiped out where they shouldn't be. m0n0wall uses it as a reset to defaults button if it's held for 2 seconds.

Scott merged the factory reset feature the same as m0n0wall yesterday.

I tested this and made a small fix to it also last night. It works fine. Just hold in the reset button while the system boots and will do a factory reset.

I can confirm that this is working.
Tested with snapshot "pfsense 2.0-beta4-nanobsd (i386) Dec 2 11:27:45 EST 2010"
- Using Alix 2d3
- Unplugged power to power cycle box.
- Held in reset button until boot process got to the "Initializing ......" part. Console displayed a message about the reset button being pressed and then rebooted.
- When it rebooted it came up with the default config.
Does this need to be documented somewhere, added to a feature list or something?
Thanks
Josh

Yeah it should probably get documented in the wiki, and will surely be in the book.
