Description

Hi,
regarding our conversation with "Steve" from pfsense-support, we would like to request the feature to create more than 1.024 vouchers in one role.

For example 10.000 vouchers, 20.000 vouchers.

You can already do this now by adjusting the bit counts in the voucher creation, for example, reduce the roll bits to 10 and you can increase the ticket bits to 16 and get 65k vouchers per roll, but then you can only have 1023 total rolls. The sum of the roll bits, ticket bits, and checksum bits has to be 31 in this case. Manually generating a longer key can increase that limit but it also makes the vouchers longer. I put more info in a reply on your other ticket.

Hi Jim,
thanks for the reply.

To summarize this:
- what happens if we need more than 1023 total rolls some day? Old rolls can be deleted, does this help to prevent a limit on the pfsense ?
- Is the length of the vouchers affected in some way ? The length shouldn’t change !

Can we create voucher-rolls and download them automatically via script / shell ?

I responded on your other ticket, we try not to use this system for support type questions such as that. In short:
  • You can delete old rolls
  • Length is unaffected
  • No way to make them in the shell and store them in the config as expected

"Bogus" is a closed/resolved status. It's already been dealt with.
