Description
Hi all,
I used m0n0wall for years, great piece of software. Smooth and SILENT! But now I changed to pfsense using some features m0n0wall do not have. pfsense is a much bigger piece of software, very good, very smooth, but NOT SILENT ;-)
The problem is our router at home has to stay in one of our childrens rooms. After office daddy is fiddling around with some configs of pfsense, sometimes also installing a new image. Reboot is required and ... uuups, childs are wake up. Sorry.
So here is my feature request: Please add an option to disable/enable the beep sounds pfsense used sometimes, e.g. during startup and shutdown. Yes, I know the script beep.sh, but making any changes to it do not survive the next image update. I am using the embedded version of pfsense with nanobsd.
Kind regards from the routerfreak

- Priority changed from Normal to Very Low
- Target version changed from 2.0 to Future
You can just rm beep.sh, and if you add that to an <earlyshellcmd> tag so it's done on every boot, upgrades won't matter.

This was annoying me enough that I built the feature.

Seth asked me to move the config option to a different page.
