Redmine pfSense - Bug #14273 (New): Traffic to a VIP is not port forwarding TCP or UDPhttps://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/142732023-04-12T18:05:31ZRyan Coleman

When there is a VIP on an interface (CARP, IP Alias) the traffic comes in to the interface no problem but if it is told to port forward out (tested as ANY and TCP25) the traffic opens a state but does not exit the system on any interfaces.

ICMP traffic, however, is transiting as expected and replying.

Configuration: VIP on an internal interface.
Port forward the VIP on the interface to a public IP
Attempt to traverse traffic over connection.

State will appear but closed.
No traffic appears on the pcap on the outbound (WAN) interface
pfSense - Bug #14127 (New): Captive Portal - LDAP server with special characters in description f...https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/141272023-03-19T14:13:12ZRyan Coleman

When you have an LDAP configured that has commas (and likely other special characters) two things fail:

1) Selection from the configuration page does not re-select later on edit (but writes to config)

2) Users authenticating via CP fail to succeed.

System tests through PF allow authentication to pass so this appears to be isolated to CP.

User reported this from a 1537 but the comma-related issue is likely platform agnostic.
Tested on 23.01
pfSense Docs - Todo #14111 (Closed): Installation pages flash drive too small for 23.01 ARM64 imagehttps://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/141112023-03-14T16:50:57ZRyan Coleman

The installation media page says 4GB is sufficient for pfSense but the 23.01 ARM64 image is 4 in one and expands to 4GB when decompressed.

What reads presently
@A USB flash drive.

The drive should be 4 GB in size at minimum, 8 GB or larger is ideal. Current installation images from Netgate can be over 2 GB in size, but this is likely to increase over time.@

Should change to:

@A USB flash drive.

The drive should be 8 GB in size at minimum, 16 GB or larger is ideal. Current installation images from Netgate can be over 4 GB in size, but this is likely to increase over time.@
pfSense Docs - Correction #13725 (New): Configure Switch docs cite LAGGs tab that does not existhttps://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/137252022-12-05T11:50:26ZRyan Coleman

On the docs for all Marvell switch-based appliances there are many references to a LAGGs tab that no longer exists.

As for 21.05.2 (and maybe earlier) the tab does not exist.
I believe, for the most part, this is a cosmetic update to remove the "LAGGs" text from the graphics with the exception of the 7100 which actively references the LAGGs portion of the Interface->Switches page.
pfSense Plus - Bug #12974 (Closed): Typing anything into 1100/2100 recovery installer causes proc...https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/129742022-03-22T13:47:10ZRyan Coleman

During the installation process the user is prompted to select a filesystem or type enter to install with ZFS.

However typing "enter" causes the installer to exit and reboot.

Select the file system to install (UFS/ZFS) or type enter to install with ZFS:

Suggest changing the language to reflect pressing enter rather than typing it.
