Would it be helpful if the FreeBSD net-mgmt/arpwatch port had an option to use mail/dma for mail delivery?

Description

Currently arpwatch under pfsense uses a php script to emulate /usr/sbin/sendmail. If I added a port option to use mail/dma instead of sendmail to deliver messages would that be helpful?
