Description

In 23.01 the 7100 switch ports do not support auto-MDI/X. A cross-over cable is required to link two ports on the switch or the switch port on two 7100s.

This is a regression since 22.05.

running version 23.05.a.20230224.0600 on 7100 I am again able to successfully connect with 1100, this was not working with both devices running 23.01

I don't see any recommended patches -- how does this get applied to existing 23.01 installations?

It's a binary change so it requires a new build/kernel, it can't be patched on a running system that way.

Ok so it is not available to 23.01 -- it would have to be a point release then?

switch is not detected under interfaces menu with current build - 23.05.a.20230322.0600

Tested against 23.05.a.20230405.0600

The switch gets detected correctly and can negotiate the link with SG-1100 and SG-2100.

However, the system crashes after removing the cable from LAN (ETH2) switchport.

Successfully linked 7100 to 1100 both on 23.05.a.20230407.0116
Switches are back in the interfaces menu on 7100 @ 23.05.a.20230407.0116 - changed PVID and tag/untag port selection without issue.

This is fixed in current snapshots. The switch ports link MDI and MDIX as expected.

The other issues reported here are unrelated.
