Description
When shutting down the interface or reboting, if_pppoe does not inform the peer that the session is terminated.
Following shutting down an if_pppoe interface, running a tcpdump of the parent interface shows the pppoe peer still sending traffic for some time until it times out.
Attempting to restart the interface fails until the existing session times out (although this likely depends on the behaviour of the individual peer)
When using the old mpd5 implementation, disabling the interface or rebooting sent an immediate termination notice to the remote pppoe peer.
