closedEFI loader fails to boot on some devices
0%
Description
The EFI loader can potentially fail to boot with certain combinations of hardware.
This issue is for tracking purposes, it is already addressed in the Plus source.
Users on affected hardware can potentially work around this limitation by using BIOS/Legacy booting instead of EFI.

Another customer hitting this on an HP DL380 Gen10 with 25.07.1. In his case, he is also not able to boot from BIOS mode.

The followup reports are due to a separate issue (now fixed in 25.11) resulting from upstream merges (though results in similar behavior).

Is that separate issue documented somewhere? We're hitting the same problem on HP Hardware with a customer currently and it is not fixed in 25.07.1 as stated above in the ticket. The system still won't boot with the EFI Loader from the 25.07.1 install but will start with the loader.old from 24.11. Is there some possible solution to update the loader to the one in 25.11 to check if that one is working?
Thanks!
