Description

On pfsense 2.2.4 installed on ESXi 6.0 with vmxnet NICs, I noticed that disabling hardware checksum offloading via Web GUI does not disable the IPv6 variants rxcsum6 and txcsum6 (see ifconfig(8)). ifconfig still shows the following features after reboot:

vmx0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500
    options=600098<VLAN_MTU,VLAN_HWTAGGING,VLAN_HWCSUM,RXCSUM_IPV6,TXCSUM_IPV6>
    [...]

Please also include rxcsum6 and txcsum6 when disabling hardware checksum offload.

Thanks
