shipment of logs using e.g. filebeat

Description
Hi, first ever bug report, bare with me.
Running filebeat on a pfsense to ship logs to a elk stack over tls is giving quit a few users a bit of a headache.
Pfsense is using clog on some of the logs, e.g. filter.log and therefore filebeat aint able to ship the logs.
I guess this isn't a bug but something that i, and properly many others would like a solution to.

I am one of the many others. Has any solution been found?
