I just updated to the latest (Aug. 5th) snapshot from Aug 1st (where I first reported the problem) and the problem still exists. I still have the same Interface Group, called "NoWifi" with one rule applied (it is a group of four interfaces, including VLAN interfaces). When I change the name of the group to "NotWifi" and return to the Firewall Rules screen, the tab name has changed to NotWifi but there are no rules listed. When I rename it back to the original NoWifi, the rule reappears where it was under Firewall Rules.
pfSense - Bug #792: Cannot change name of interface grouphttps://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/792?journal_id=27532010-08-06T12:45:55ZChris Buechlercbuechler@gmail.com

There are no snapshots with that fix yet, especially not one from the day before the fix was committed.
pfSense - Bug #792: Cannot change name of interface grouphttps://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/792?journal_id=27542010-08-06T12:47:59ZDavid Szpunar

Hmm, good point :-) Sorry, just jumped on it based on the post at http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,27197.msg142058.html#msg142058 asking me to try an updated snapshot. I just assumed it was ready from the post. My bad. Will the snapshot generated today/tonight include it, or will it take longer than that to make it into a snapshot?
pfSense - Bug #792: Cannot change name of interface grouphttps://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/792?journal_id=27552010-08-06T13:14:45ZChris Buechlercbuechler@gmail.com

there will likely be one with a date of late 20100806 (after 16:00 to be safe), otherwise on the 7th.
pfSense - Bug #792: Cannot change name of interface grouphttps://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/792?journal_id=27702010-08-07T00:11:40ZDavid Szpunar

Updated to latest snapshot from this afternoon, and can confirm that renaming the interface that I was having issues with before, now correctly "brings with" rules to the new name, when changing the name back and forth to and from the original and new names. I have not investigated or confirmed additional changes with filter/nat rules as mentioned in the revision notes by Ermal, I only tested the exact bug reproduction steps as submitted.
pfSense - Bug #792: Cannot change name of interface grouphttps://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/792?journal_id=27862010-08-07T00:59:44ZChris Buechlercbuechler@gmail.com
