Description

When you open up the traffic graph to display the list of hosts and their corresponding bandwidth in / out, the instantaneous values do not match. For example, the graph always shows some bandwidth in / out, but often there is no host. Or if there is a host, the values shown are usually much lower than the values on the graphs. This is the same, whether LAN or WAN is selected.

The rate daemon that gathers data for the table does not support IPv6, which most likely accounts for the discrepancy. It's also possible it's some other sampling issue in rate.

It might be possible to replace rate with something more capable like iftop eventually.

Given that issue, this is almost certainly a duplicate of #3334

The underlying problem was reported 5 years ago and still hasn't been fixed. Last night, there was some substantial traffic on the graph, but there was no way to figure out which host it was for. This needs to be fixed.
