Description

Snort Inline stopped working after upgrade to FreeBSD 12.1 (network traffic blocked after heavy load randomly).

Network Adapter for pfSense-VM (VMware ESXI 7.0) is VMware e1000 - worked before without problems for several years.

You might post on the IDS/IPS category of the forum to catch the snort developer's attention there. Similar issues have been from mismatched library versions due to the base OS upgrade, might be the same problem here. The easiest way to test that is to wipe+reload+restore using the latest snapshot iso to ensure you have a completely consistent environment.
