Description

when i setup openvpn config link-mtu 1500 and No matter you choose any Allow Compression, then openvpn interface mtu auto is 1379 or 1378 very low mtu size.
but i setup link-mtu 1500 and no setup any Allow Compression in ubuntu system openvpn, it is auto mtu is 1451.

Why is the MTU gap so big?

tested in pf2.6
