Description

There must be something I do wrong but I cannot seem to find the right answer.

I've switched my pfSense to BGP so it learns dynamically its default route. BGP is up and running as expected and it learns its default route via its two neighbors.

When I disable my former default GWs (one for each neighbors now attached with BGP), pfSense selects my third GW as the default one.
This creates an unwanted default route that sends the packets in a cul-de-sac.

In the Gateways settings, in Default Gateway, I have selected "None" as "Default gateway IPv4"

I do not see where else I can force pfSense to use my BGP-learned default route instead of using the third GW that is used for another path.

An option to disable a GW as candidate to default route would be nice

Regards
JDo

There is already a mechanism to control which gateways are selected for automatic use by the firewall as a default gateway -- make a failover group and select that group as the default gateway.
