Bug #13783
closedConsole (USB) doesn't show Boot Environments properly
0%
Description
Had an issue with the latest beta for 23.01. That completely broke everything (I'll provide separate bug report on that later). When I then tried to revert back using the Boot Environments from the serial console, via Putty & USB. Nothing was showing. And I've now finally managed to revert it back by finding bectl in the command line (this would be helpful if it was mentioned in the docs).
But basically: When I was expecting a list of BE's. I was met with nothing. And the screen wasn't rendered correctly either.
In the attached screenshot, you'll see an example of when I finally managed to revert back. And there you can see that it doesn't render properly. If you need me to, I can try the same thing again. If you'd like a "better" report. But I hope that this will be helpfull in finding some undiscovered issue/bug.
Thanks

- Status changed from New to Duplicate
The BE list is there it's just not drawn properly on your terminal for some reason. You can see see them and select them after pressing option 8 for the BE list.
I tried a variety of different Plus environments with serial (VMs, hardware, etc) and they all showed BE list on recent and current snapshots.
The only issue is that some units are known to have a problem we're already investigating where the terminal isn't drawn properly in certain circumstances which is already covered by #13455
