Firewall --> pfBlockerNG --> IP --> IPv4 --> edit/add --> IPv4 Custom_List
the reasons for this are:- I only have to create the list once in pfSense and then can re-use it pfBlocker
- When you use (permit|deny|match) actions , pfBlockerNG puts the rules at the top of the firewall rules and when changes are made, the rules stay in the correct place. If you use manually rules they probably will not stay at the top so this just makes life a lot easier.
