Description
Hello Fellow Netgate Community Members,
I wanted to share some topics for discussion and possibly create a community resolution to this issue I have noticed.
Problem Discription: WEAVE's website has instant website redaction technology that auto navigates away from the the website for privacy of the user when in need if they need to report an issue in an invasive environment. (See EXIT BUTTON in photo)
If this firewall was deployed in a business environment and someone was trying to report issues you can notice that the C-ICAP system will block the redirecting technology. This can leave the user of the website at great risk now without the auto redaction use.
This website deploys an instant website redaction technology that will hide the website from the abusers and auto navigates to Google. Again this is being flagged by the Clam AV software and stopped.
How can the firewall automate some ethics with this use for when this should be allowed to be used example: WEAVE and or not be allowed example: Virus use abuse of cookies tracking spy technology.
Moreover what technology or code improvements can work hand and hand with firewalls to allow instant redaction and or warn that it will not work on such network if needed?
Thanks for your time. I am sure with a large community we can come up with a solution to this.
I think that if the firewall could control where it goes that might help, maybe redirect to a specific google news, or something that is pre known,
I don't know however business ethics need to be looked at for issues like this.
Issue: Clamav cannot distinguish the ethics currently with use of such advanced redaction technology.
How can we code in some ethics for this situation?

This type of issue is better handled outside of the firewall software itself (e.g. by creating your own rules).

Thanks for the reply.
I have added this to always allow. I did not know if others have noticed this.

This now functions as expected with the created rules
If other admins use this firewall in a very large environment it will need a rule to allow such a redirect. Without knowledge of it this auto blocks
