Description

The pfsense documentation for installation on a USB drive is missing the option to select after rebooting without the USB drive. That or it's in another documentation that I'm unable to find.

It's not clear what you mean here. What are you expecting to see that you don't see? There is no document for installing "to usb", you install from a USB (or optical drive) to a disk in the target system.

The end of the installation walkthrough tells the user to remove the installation media (USB drive in this case) during the reboot: https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/install/install-walkthrough.html

The menu you show is the normal console menu that appears when running from disk (not the installer): https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/config/console-menu.html
