Description

I have the System_Patches package installed. There is no notification of updates.
It would be nice to have a notification of patches that need to be applied.
The widget could be a count, applied vs available or many other layouts.
Critical, Suggested, etc..
This would have saved me a fair amount of time trying to solve a problem.

  • Status changed from New to Rejected

Given the personal and custom nature of patches this is not viable. Not everyone will apply every patch, since not every patch is relevant to every person. Custom patches are even more likely to be in different states (how do you know if the intent is to apply or revert something intentionally? Neither is inherently incorrect). Having a new patch pop up in the recommended list doesn't always mean it should be applied, and having one reverted doesn't mean it's an error.

You can add the "Installed Packages" widget to watch for updates to the package itself if you choose but that's the closest you'll get to monitoring it for updates.
