Description

/usr/local/sbin/update-leap is attempting to use:

https://www.ietf.org/timezones/data/leap-seconds.list

Per the IETF website, it should be using:

https://data.iana.org/time-zones/data/leap-seconds.list

While the logs reveal that the leap seconds file expired (inferring failure by update-leap), there is nothing the logs that reveals the issue stems from the update-leap program.

  • Status changed from New to Needs Patch

That file is part of the NTP package (ntp.org), Netgate does not maintain that code. It should be reported upstream and once they change it there, we will pick up the change naturally as it gets updated in the FreeBSD ports tree.

In the meantime, since that file is a Perl script, you could edit/patch the URL in your local copy should you need to do so.
