This issue is for tracking purposes only so it gets an entry in the release notes. It was on the internal Redmine as 16953
With certain combinations of serial consoles and clients the resizewin program can occasionally get fed a spurious line feed and fail to parse the response it expects with the terminal size info. It will print an error stating "unable to parse response" when this happens. This manifests easier on some hardware than others, and most do not hit this problem at all no matter which client is used. The easiest way to reproduce it is to connect to the serial console, start a shell, and then hold down the Enter key.
