Description

Please could the option to use "scramble obfuscate" be added into the OpenVPN module?

I can see that it's supported as a custom option within other OpenVPN deployments, but not the stock module in the current Netgate PFsense module.

When I add the line "scramble obfuscate "********""

I get the following error message "Options error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s) in /var/etc/openvpn/client2/config.ovpn:34: scramble (2.6.8) "

  • Project changed from pfSense Packages to pfSense
  • Category changed from OpenVPN Client Import to OpenVPN
  • Status changed from New to Needs Patch
  • Release Notes set to Default

The scramble options are not in OpenVPN officially, they are in custom third-party repos/builds like Tunnelblick.

If those patches ever make it into the official OpenVPN tree then we can consider adding options for them.

the existing TLS Key Usage Mode option "TLS Encryption and Authentication" may help in that regard in the meantime.
