Description

Running a "fresh" 2.0 RC3 AMD64 install on a system with 4 Gig of RAM and an Intel EXPI9402PT Dual Port NIC. After some time all machines that utilize this gateway receive a notification that internet is not available. At this point I cannot obtain an IP address, Access the internet or access pfSsense via 192.168.1.1 address (system is completely unresponsive). After several minutes 5,10,15 the system usually comes back yet to have this occur over an over. I've checked the logs and checked the RRD graphs for indications of the trouble and haven't come up with a cause. I'm using quality NICs so the NICs should be the issue. Prior to this issue I've been running 1.2.3 for 6 months without a problem (I've actually rolled back to 1.2.3 as this works 100% for me). I've also tested the 2.0 RC1 AMD 64 release and don't recall running into this issue. Someone mentioned an MBUF issue with 2.0, which may be the case however the system has plenty of RAM, no packages installed and quality Intel NIC (EXPI9402PT). I have not tested this on the i386 platform to see if that platform is also affected.

there isn't a general problem with systems dropping offline, and this doesn't have a specific problem hence isn't a valid bug ticket. It's likely hardware-specific, which we can't do anything about. I'll follow up with you on your forum thread.
