PfblockerNG only has partial support for wildcarded lists and its off by default, the method supported by pfblockerNG is now considered as a legacy way of filtering by list maintainers such as hagezi.
OISD has even completely dropped support for these old legacy style lists.
Check oisd.nl the statement "Important Announcement: Discontinuing hosts/domains -syntax"
Also this from the OISD maintainer "(Note that pfBlockerNG does support wildcard blocking, but it's implementation is wack; It won't block subdomains to already listed subdomains, eg g.doubleclick.net should block; adclick.g.doubleclick.net, adx.g.doubleclick.net, captive.googleads.g.doubleclick.net etc, but it does not.)"

Again like the previous feature request, this is supported by many other vendors, and pfblockerNG is now too dated in respect of this.

Someone actually forked pfblockerNG on reddit and implemented this feature, so that could be merged.
