Description

This is the first time it happened.
Added 11 torrents (about 200MB each) and after about 10 minutes of downloading my box just restarted.
Supposed bandwidth of download was about 1-2MB/s (8-16Mbit/s); RAM: ~25%; CPU should be <5%.

I downloaded a few torrents before, at even bigger speeds - no problems.

Maybe you can even simulate this problem.
I used these torrents:
http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=302614
http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=307529
http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=304562

http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=321177
http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=324826

P.S. no problem in seeding these torrents.

These I download on my laptop over 802.11n (150Mbit/s) connection (not so many downloads),
so this could become a very big problem once I connect my server with
1Gbit/s connection (a lot of downloads + other system traffic)...

Submitted a few crash reports, last was:

Not a general problem. Please start a thread on the forum or mailing list for troubleshooting.

It could be hardware related, or one of a dozen other things, but it's not a bug in the sense this ticket system is made for.

If, after troubleshooting on the forum, it is determined that there is a legitimate bug, we can open a ticket then.

In the meantime, you might try 2.1 to eliminate a driver issue, and/or visit http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Tuning_and_Troubleshooting_Network_Cards

Got it!
Implemented changes mentioned in http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Tuning_and_Troubleshooting_Network_Cards
Only time will tell if it helped...

Only one additional question...
In http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Tuning_and_Troubleshooting_Network_Cards it is written that these changes go to
/boot/loader.conf.local (or create the file if it does not exist)

I see loader.conf there, do I really add this code to loader.conf.local?

Always use loader.conf.local for user changes. loader.conf can (and often will) be overwritten by the system at times.
