Description

CARP is freaking out, some VIPs were master on a box and some others are on the backup box. This started to happen when I used any of the traffic shaping wizard. I dunno where in these queues the CARP traffic is getting shaped. In conclusion, CARP and traffic shaping is buggy now.

Please refer to this link in the forums for more info. My problem is to traffic shape with the p2p catch all. But it's impossible with my setup because CARP is getting crazy.

not a bug, you have a bad user-defined config. it's certainly possible to break CARP with certain shaper configs. Don't configure the shaper that way.

setting to feedback as I think this may have been addressed in newer versions, though it may require staying a user-defined thing. Yes we allow you to break this, but there isn't any way to not allow that without restricting configs that are legit.

what do you mean bad user-defined config? I'm in a multi-WAN/multi-LAN setup. CARP is just set upped in my master and backup machines. when using the traffic shaping wizard, CARP VIPs starting to get messed up.
