Description

I have two WAN setup - the default WAN and the other one. Every WAN has a different gateway assigned. I use "Allow default gateway switching" (in System: Advanced: Miscellaneous), so I don't use a gateway group. When everything goes well, both gateways are green in GW monitoring.

When I simulate a gateway offline for either one (simply by disconnecting cable from IF), after ten seconds I can see the gateway offline in Status:Gateways. But I never receive a notification e-mail (it would be good to know so one could start fixing the problem with connectivity).

I even tried to disconnect both gateways - they both went red, but still no e-mail came. I clicked on "Test SMTP" button in System: Advanced: Notifications (with still both gateways offline!) - I instantly got the test e-mail.

this definitely works (way too well in some cases, see #4031)
