Description

TinyDNS seems not respond to IPv6 addresses when trying DNS Server - Settings - Respond to IP.
I have tried to make TinyDNS respond to fe80 (and fe80::) as well as addresses with global scope.
It might be easy to overlook this issue, but if you run a single stack of IPv6 you are in trouble.

(I have also tried to reboot the router since TinyDNS in other regards (like e.g. adding an A record) seems to return strange result on DNS queries if one just tried to restart the TinyDNS server)

jeffbrl seems to have a somewhat equal experience http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,67917.msg372360.html#msg372360 although he talks about binding to IPv6.

Do you still have this issue with current pfSense version and current tinydns version? Looks like duplicate of Bug #4432 to me.

I am currently not in charge of the router.
However shortly after reporting this issue concerning TinyDNS I changed the setup to use dnsmasq/DNS Forwarder and today the router uses Unbound/DNS Resolver which have worked a lot better than TinyDNS.
So if someone still uses TinyDNS feel free to test if the problem has been resolved.
Thanks for the update Kill Bill.
