Bug #3502
closedunbound package updated but not available???
0%
Description
I had unbound 1.4.21_1-i386 installed earlier today and noticed that a new version is out (1.4.21_3). I attempted to update, but there is no 1.4.21_3 version available for download. The file my pfsense box tried to download is http://http://files.pfsense.org/packages/8/All/unbound-1.4.21_3-i386.pbi. That file doesn't exist but checking the directory, the old version does still exist.
Not sure what database stores the latest version information, but one of the two will likely solve this problem:
1. Make unbound 1.4.21_3-i386.pbi available at the link above.
2. Downgrade the "latest available version" in the database that pfsense machines get their information from to properly point to the version that does exist.
If there's a way to manually install the PBI easily I'm all ears. Right now I have no unbound installed because pfsense uninstalled the old version in anticipation of updating, then it had nothing to update to.
Note: I have a separate ticket in to request that a sanity check be added to ensure pfsense downloads a PBI file before uninstalling the old version. It's kind of inconvenient when pfsense uninstalls a PBI and then has no new PBI to install to leaving your pfsense box unable to function as expected. This ticket is simply to get the pfsense index to either acknowledge the old version since it's available or to make the new version available for download.
Thanks.
