Description

At a customer they had a modem reset. The OpenVPN didn't come backonline because the interface wasn't available at the time. i'm aware that this is a corner case and maby hard to fix. Maby there should be a monitoring deamon that restarts the openvpn deamon?

The service gets restarted when the NIC comes back up. That definitely works in general. The failure to start in your log was prior to when it restarted OpenVPN:

Mar 10 09:02:44 check_reload_status: Restarting OpenVPN tunnels/interfaces

did that not start it back up? The OpenVPN logs you attached stop prior to that happening. There should be other OpenVPN logs after that 09:02:44.
