Configuration:¶
- E-Mail server: example.com
- SMTP Port of E-Mail server: 2525
- Secure SMTP Connection: Enable STARTTLS
- From e-mail address: pfsense@example.com
- Notification E-Mail address: user+info@example.com
- Notification E-Mail auth username (optional): pfsense
- Notification E-Mail auth password: secret
Steps to reproduce:¶
- Configure notification settings
- Save configuration
- Click "test SMTP"
Result:¶
- The test e-mail is sent successfully
- "Enable STARTTLS" gets unchecked (until you reload the page)
- E-mail notifications from for example rrd-summary are not using STARTTLS
This was tested using pfSense 2.1.1
