Description

When a carp vhid=255 is used, the CARP interface fails to sync correctly and logs errors such as:
VRRPv2, Advertisement, vrid 255, prio 100, authtype none, intvl 1s, length 36, addrs(7)

Setup:
PF 2.1.5
Two WAN /29 networks, with each network assigned to a physical NIC
Each NIC is plugged into a dumb switch, that then plugs into the upstream router

Changing the vhid>255 cleared the error, and no errors show in the firewall logs.

Subsequently, changing the vhid caused the associated IF Aliases to loose their interface. Since the outgoing default route was one of the IF Aliases on this VIP, mass panic ensued. (Trying to get things live.) Should this be reported as a bug, or is this by design? Perhaps, at least, a warning box on changing the vhid?
