Description

During the last years, a lot of security bugs have been found in the NTP code. My proposal is to change the default NTP implementation in pfSense to OpenNTPD.

OpenNTPD was developed by the OpenBSD project. It's secure and small. FreeBSD has a package of OpenNTPD and its maintainer is competent and helpful.

We tried using OpenNTPD. It was buggy and lacked features we needed. Not likely to switch back and regress.
