Description

When WAN interface is set as pppoe it can not be changed to DHCP or NONE.

First time, the web interface tells to assign the interface first (which is correct). After assigning WAN interface to re1 and deleting pppoe0 interface, then web page for WAN interface is still asking to assign the interface first. WAN interface settings are then in an endless loop always keeping pppoe type.

Workaround:
I were able to go out of this endless loop using the following procedure:
- Set WAN interface with a Static IPv4 temporary address.
- Reboot pfSense.
- Reboot did not completed to web interface. I had to use console cable to reassing all interfaces. Once done, pfsense completed boot procedure to menu. Web interface was then avaiable and all my settings were retained.
- Set WAN interface from static IPv4 to DHCP.
- Done.

Note: Tested for IPv4.
