Description

it doesn't get dns response when queried on domain override,

- unbound last log for query

unbound: [82704:1] debug: sending to target: <overrided_domain> overrided_domain_ip#53

- target dns server is giving response when queried directly
- unbound stopped when log level raised to 4

what you're describing works fine, as the log shows. target server probably not replying from the source IP used from the firewall in that case. Please post to the forum or mailing list for assistance.
