Description

Performing upgrade from 2.2.6 amd64 to 2.3 RC amd64 using 'firmware update', after waiting enough time for a reboot to happen, hitting reload on pfsense url I see the below error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '*' in /etc/inc/util.inc on line 869

That's what will happen if you try to hit the GUI after most of the upgrade is complete but it hasn't rebooted into the new environment yet.

Guessing you didn't wait long enough.
