Description

The current Unbound on 2.3 RC is
unbound-1.5.5 Validating, recursive, and caching DNS resolver
which dates back to October 2015. The current is 1.5.8, released in March 2016. Looking at change log from http://www.unbound.net/download.html quite a lot of bugs have been fixed since then.

we include from the quarterly ports, which only get security fixes and any serious bug fixes during that quarter. 1.5.5 is latest there. None of the bugs are significant for our use cases, the next quarterly will be included automatically in 2.3.1 and have 1.5.8 or whatever is the latest then.
