Bug #6447
closedInterface allows dynamic gateway to be deleted
0%
Description
I have a SG-4860 appliance running 2.3.1-RELEASE-p1 (amd64). The WAN and LAN configurations are completely default. The gateway screen (https://192.168.1.1/system_gateways.php) shows a "delete" icon for the dynamic IPv6 gateway. See attached screen capture. My understanding from reading the doc is that dynamic gateways should not be allowed to be deleted. I didn't try to actually click on that icon and delete the gateway. I searched the bug tracker and forums and couldn't see this issue already reported.
Thanks

- Status changed from New to Not a Bug
- Affected Version deleted (
2.3.1)
if you define any options outside the defaults, you can delete it (which brings back the fully default dynamic gateway)

I did not think I had made any changes to either of the default gateways, but I tried deleting it and it does work the way you described.
Thanks for the fast response.

this is rather confusing - i stumbled above some "_dhcp" postfixed gateway entry and was not able to get rid of it - i spent some time on this just to find that the appropriate interface hat "dhcp" enabled and the gateway entry was generated dynamically and re-appeared whenever i tried to delete.
it would be helpful if there would be a note that it`s being generated automatically and if there would not be a delete button.
