Description

I just downloaded the latest nightly, pfSense-CE-2.4.0-BETA-amd64-20170218-1625.iso.gz, but attempting to install it into my ESXi 6.5 hostm it goes into a boot loop.

ipw_bss: You need to read the LICENSE file in /usr/share/doc/legal/intel_ipw/.
ipw_bss: If you agree with the license, set legal.intel_ipw.license_ack=1 in /boot/loader.conf.
ipw_ibss: You need to read the LICENSE file in /usr/share/doc/legal/intel_ipw/.
ipw_ibss: If you agree with the license, set legal.intel_ipw.license_ack=1 in /boot/loader.conf.

ipw_monitor,iwi_bss,iwi_ibss,iwi_monitor all spam the same thing. It never boots into the installer. Basically the setup can not start. I did not run into this issue with 2.3.3 on the same host.

This is not the same issue as seen when you run dmesg in console - this is on a new VM, without anything installed on it, booting from the iso.

Figured it out. It goes into a reboot loop if you set the boot option to boot from EFI instead of BIOS. The looping error was just a red-herring, since manually setting the env variables did not fix the boot loop.
