Description
It can be very useful when you introduce pfsense into a lan where there are lots of static ip addresses.
This way you can easily convert all hosts from static into dhcp without losing their current ip addresses and at the same time without having to manually add dhcp static mappings in to DCHP Server for each host.
Additionally it can prove very useful to quickly add their hostnames into DNS Forwarder (if the option "Register DHCP static mappings in DNS forwarder" is enabled)
