Feature #7456
closedpfblockerNG add supportto add or modify self-modified easylist style rule
0%
Description
easylist rule is so convinient and the specific language variant rules cover almost all I need,
But pfblockerNG seems only support the built in easylist rules, which is limited and there is no way to add another easylist rules.
and after looking around, I find that the blocking rule is finaly converted to dns record, so I'm wondering may pfblockerNG directly support easylist style filter.

No idea what's this request about. If you are talking about the DNSBL feature, the "easylist style rule" support is already there, just click the + on Alerts - DNSBL. If it's about the firewall-based part, then again the support is already there to add it to Suppress List. (as long as a /32 or /24 is blocked via a list; for the rest, it's just not possible).

Yes, I think I'm talking about DNSBL feature, indeed easylist rule is there and is easy to enable, but thereāre only two EasyList Feeds(which is hardcoded in) you can select from in the DNSBL EasyList tab, while there're more Other Supplementary Filter Lists and EasyList Variants can be used, but I find no way to add it myself.
And I'm just guessing, as there is original DNS file and a uniform DNSBL file, the easylist rule is first converted to something like easylist_privacy.txt which is then used by unbound dns resolver, and the style in the original file is not directly used. But this is not the point, I'd like to know may the user add another easylist url, for example look here: https://easylist.to/pages/other-supplementary-filter-lists-and-easylist-variants.html

The next version of the package will have all of the Language specific EasyList feeds hardcoded.
Unfortunately, all of the other EasyList type feeds, are not compatible with DNS filters. Those filters are browser based that modify the page elements directly.
As per the link you have referenced above, all of those feeds will be in the next version, except for "Adblock Warning Removal List".
