Feature #7522
closedwebGUI output settings directly to image or rich text
0%
Description
If someone wants to ask for help or provide help on the forum, a screen capture of settings is required. Creating a screen capture of settings is a manual process, often requiring multiple images to capture an entire page of settings. It would be much more convenient if the webGUI would output a section or an entire page of settings into an appropriately named file to be attached to a forum post (or embedded in a document). This would make it easier for users to ask for help or provide help on the forum.
A variation of this would be to output settings as rich text (including showing options) or copy them into the clipboard to be pasted directly into a forum post (or document).

- Status changed from New to Rejected
See /status.php on the firewall.
That's what it already does, and more, though not a summary it sanitizes/removes private info and prints the raw config and other info.

No doubt there is a lot of info in /status.php, but a dump of raw config isn't even remotely a substitute for an easily readable image of settings.
