Description

There is not any checking for RID in OSPF6 section in web interface now, but one must be, because in case there is not IPv4 interface at all RID is not defined and OSPF6 does not start.

Updated by Jim Pingle over 6 years ago

  • Project changed from pfSense to pfSense Packages
  • Category changed from Routing to FRR
  • Assignee set to Jim Pingle
  • Target version deleted (2.4.0)

The input validation is weak to nonexistent all throughout FRR, it's all on my todo list yet.

As it is made now, if you leave the router ID blank in any section (BGP, OSPF, OSPF6) it will attempt to use the router ID from the main global settings page. I'll make sure it throws an error if none is set in either place.

I checked latest 0.5 it works fine, I got appropriate error if I did not set RID

Router ID is required because the global Router ID is not set.
