Description

I've been in a situation where a recursive alias has caused the filter reload to never complete, but creating a core dump every time. Apparently, it's not possible to send an e-mail on a filter reload crash, so I thought that it may be a good idea to send an email notification when a core dump is created.

I haven't seen a core dump happen on filter reload in a long, long time. A filter reload failure already does generate a notification e-mail, though. Sounds like a task better served by a remote syslog server watching for such messages and alerting remotely, rather than relying on a box that just crashed to generate its own failure notification in this situation. (Mostly because if the process crashed, then how could the process know it crashed in this situation?)
