Bug #8174
closedDNS server option in wireless missing
0%
Description
I am using the Pfsense 2.4 with a wireless card.
The dhcp server (enable or disable) option is not available in the web interface. I had to setup the settings of the wireless interface using the command line where the option exists.
More information can be seen in this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52xEkwfuFfo 20:15
I am not the author of that video, but without using his advice I lost a couple of hours understand what was the problem and his fix (using the command line) worked.

You have a configuration issue, not a bug. Post on the forum, reddit, or mailing list for assistance.

The title should be: "DHCP server option in wireless missing" instead of "DNS server option in wireless missing", unfortunately redmine does nor allow me to change the title
This is indeed a configuration issue but exists because of a bug in the interface, the option is missing. Also I don't need assistance since I managed to get everything working but only after loosing a couple of hours and using the different interfaces (web and ssh).
I think the option should be in the interface so people can use the wireless properly. This clearly a bug in the page: https://192.168.1.1/services_dhcp.php which is not showing the wireless interfaces and only the LAN, please consider changing the status of this ticket from "not a bug".
