Description

I am Ruining 2.4.3-p1. I have tried every thing from No Plugins, to Ramdisk Via var. I can Control it if I running a Ram Disk so it does not use 100% of my ram I have try to set tcpdump to -s.
If I Do not Run Ram Disk Pfsenes in about a 2-3 days will crash or all of My WAN Traffic Gets very slow like 300-500ms and then a reboot is the only fix. It looks and feels like a memory leak. I've also Reinstalled Pfsense fully Still does not fix it. Here are some screen shots below. I have tried 2.4.3, 2.4.2 and 2.4.3p1. Could this be a problem with the backup system? Or is it a memory leak? Only way I can control the system from using 100% memory is to setup Ramddisk. but then i get errors for ram disk is full in my logs. I am not sure what Category this should be in! Only info I can find about memory problems is the tcpdump -s 256 flags.

Looks like it's all configuration issues there, not a memory leak, but there is not enough detail to call it a bug by a long shot. We don't even use "tcpdump" persistently now so I'm not sure how that's factoring in unless it's something custom or from a package.

Post on the forum or pfSense subreddit and gather more info and discussion there.

No What I was Say Is this is the only info I could find for memory problems. I can reinstall a stock Pfsense With noting Configured and still have the same problems with memory. What other info is needed ? It is not from a package It still happens with out any packages installed. I can Remove all packages and memory Still goes to 100% used and starts to crash the system. Configuration Issues I have been ruining this setup for over 7 year's. Why is it happening with out any packages? If you say this is a config problem then what and where can you config so that pfsense will use 100% of the ram. all general setting are stock, other then what is change in the wizard For a single WAN/LAN Setup With NAT Only other thing add was more DNS server's in genral. All System Tunables are stock. No commands have been enter in to Pfsense command line prompt. One thing I have noticed once /var/run fills up thats when the memory problems starts it is set to 3.4MB. can I config this with out changing stuff via command line?
