Description

I believe I have seen this in another project (NAS4Free).

The idea is that at the bottom of a configuration page there is the actual section from the configuration file as it is reflected with the settings on the page. You can edit the settings directly or modify the settings on the page. When saved, the snippet is updated reflecting the changes from the page. If the snippet is modified, it should also reflect the changes in the settings on the page. If there exists a block for advanced settings, the block of settings should also be reflected into the snippet from the actual configuration file.

This allows advanced users to see the actual configuration in use, including possible hidden settings, and modify as necessary.

That is completely unrealistic. It would require an insane amount of effort for very little benefit.
